行动中，巾帼志愿者们手拿钳子、垃圾袋等工具，沿着河道清理卫生死角，拾捡烟头、纸屑、易拉罐、塑料泡沫等生活垃圾，同时，在辖区内向沿河店铺、过路居民等发放爱护河道环境的宣传单页，倡导商家、居民爱护环境、保护水源，不向河道乱扔垃圾、不在河边种菜种树等。
